Hrafnhildur’s second play premiered at the Icelandic National Theatre in 2000 and was subsequently one of seventeen plays to be selected for the anthology Modern Women Playwrights of Europe, published by Oxford University Press in 2001. This drama, loosely based on the Elektra myth, is a play within a play, where the two layers mirror each other. Two actors, a mother and a daughter, are trying to improvise a show which is more or less about themselves. Gradually, they lose control of the project, revealing secret repressions in their relationship.
